Character Description:

is symbolic of the tumultuous relationship the married couple are in the movie.
Old woman's character suffers a tragic death
Old woman's character suffers a tragic death
due to a fall in the movie, ergo the posture of the plant was drawn to depict the same.
The three college kids are naive
The three college kids are naive
and still learning the complexity of life and have thus been drawn as saplings.
